Come join us every Saturday starting January 5, 2008 at 2300 GMT (1800 EST) as we tour picturesque Alaska. This tour will cover some 3000 miles as we travel the width and breadth of Alaska from Ketchikan in the east to Nome in the west and from Homer in the south to Deadhorse in the north. Each session will last about 2 hours and cover about 150 miles. We will be flying low level, terrain permiting, and cruising at around 120kts most of the time. Some stops require water landings and most others have water within a mile of the airport so float planes may be used though amphibians are recommended.
Each sessions starting airport and stops will be posted to this forum a week in advance. Be at the starting airport and ready to go about 15 minutes early so any connection problems or other delays can be taken care of prior to the start time.
These sessions will all be flown on the VintageATC Session server and will use channel 124.75 ot TeamSpeak.
FS9 pilots:
To really Feel the splendor and grandure of the Alaska wilderness I recommend installing 38m mesh for this area. If you don't already have 38m mesh installed there is a very good freeware Alaska mesh package available on AVSIM. It consists of 2 large files easilly installed following the included readme. Here is a link to those files:

I just love to smell the roses (or the sagebrush depending on the surroundings) when I mosey by. Sooooo refreshing hee hee
btw, thanks for the links on the scenery. Somehow I missed this one. I put it one step under Glacier Bay scenery and it's working like a charm.
